The 1st Annual Houston Bonding Education Program was successfully completed by 30 small business owners at a graduation ceremony on September 25, 2012 at the Houston Business Development, Inc., Business Technology Center – Palm Center. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Mayor’s Office of Business Opportunity and hosted by HBDi, the 8-week bonding program was designed to prepare small business owners and contractors to obtain surety bonds, increase bonding capacity and interact with service providers and bond producers.
The first of its kind in Houston, the bonding education program is offered without charge to eligible participants who benefit directly from a team of industry professionals providing expert advice and training. Upon completion of the training, entrepreneurs are better positioned to expand their businesses and to navigate the often difficult process of surety bonding.
Mayor Parker and supporting stakeholders were on hand to congratulate the graduating class of the 1st Annual Houston Bonding Education Program.
